Dr. Hagit Krik

Scholar of colonial and imperial history. She is interested in the various forms of colonial knowledge and power, and in the social and cultural history of European communities in the Middle East in the course of the 20th century.

Dr. Krik's doctoral dissertation, "Colonial Lives in Palestine, 1920-1948: British Society and Culture in a Mandate Territory", completed at the Zvi Yavetz School of Historical Studies at Tel Aviv University (2018), explores the social and cultural history of the British community in Palestine during the mandate. Currently she is researching the history of British medical personnel in the Middle East during the interwar period.
