A Regional History of Medicine in the Middle East

Student of modern Middle Eastern history. His research focuses on interactions between the Middle East and the League of Nations’ Health Organization (LNHO) and the World Health Organization (WHO), 1920-1960.

Dan holds an MA in Islam and Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. His MA thesis, by the title"The Time of the Doctor": Medical Discourse on the Health and Hygiene of the Egyptian Village During the 1930s, submitted in the framework of the ERC research project “Regional History of Medicine in the Middle East", was recently approved.
