Ottomanist and historian of medicine and the environment in the Levant.

Mr. Fahoum is a former member of the team, and at present a PhD candidate at the International History program at the Graduate Institute, Geneva.holds a B.A. in Political Science and in Islamic & Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and an M.A in Middle Eastern Studies from the Hebrew Hebrew University. His MA dissertation, titled "Health and War on Display: The Ottoman Red Crescent Exhibition in Istanbul, 1917," was submitted in the summer of 2018. He is currently starting his research toward a PhD, on the topic of water management in the Levant in the interwar period.
